Belbroughton
Belbroughton is a village and Civil Parish in the district of Bromsgrove, it is situated 6 miles north of Bromsgrove Town Centre and is close to the village of Clent.
The village was at the centre of the North Worcestershire Scythe making district and many of the Mills in the area were formerly Blade Mills used for sharpening the scythe.
Amenities include a village shop, post office and a recreational centre with tennis courts. The village also has a primary school and a number of pubs and hotels.
The village has hosted a Scarecrow Weekend (the last weekend in September) since 1996 (weather permitting), where all the villagers create scarecrows and display them outside their homes, they also decorate the village with bunting and there is a number of barbecues, stalls and rides. This event is a great day out for all the family and has thousands of visitors each year raising lots of money for local organisations.
