Bromsgrove Station!

In researching my family history, I have established that family members originated in the Hanbury, Stoke Prior, Henbrook areas.

All these places I know. However, there also appears to be a general area, at least covering the first two, referred to on at least the 1901/1911 census forms as "Bromsgrove Station".

As I would assume this not to be the Railway station, could you explain exactly what "Bromsgrove Station" refers to?
